SMC CEO, Farooq Mehboob, has been elected as the Treasurer of ASHRAE. He has the singular honor of being the first Pakistani and the first non-American and non-European President of the Society. He has been serving on ASHRAE’s Board of Directors since 2014 when he was elected as Region At Large Director and Regional Chair for a period of four years and thereafter served as Vice President for two more years before beginning his current term as Treasurer from July 1, 2020.
