Established in 1980, S. Mehboob & Company is a full service Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Consulting Engineering Establishment specializing in Engineering Disciplines, Management Consultancy and Building Services.
During its over 40 years of excellence SMC has over 800 projects to its credit and is one of the most well reputed consulting firms in Pakistan. With a team of dedicated professionals at its core, the company believes in modern and innovative design concepts which have proven to be its competitive edge. The firm currently employs over 120 permanent staff as part of its Engineering discipline.
Projects undertaken cover a wide spectrum of industries and the company’s services are available not only in Pakistan but also internationally. SMC has carried out projects design and supervision for all sizes of projects in the UAE and Middle East and have been established throughout the region for over 16 years. Al Murooj Complex is a highlight in SMC’s UAE portfolio with 8000 TR of airconditioning and 20 MW of electricity. This project was completed in 2005.
The firm is headed by Engineer Farooq Mehboob who is the CEO of the company with 52 years of technical and managerial expertise. He is also a founder member of ASHRAE Pakistan Chapter and ex-President of the PHVACR and ASHRAE Pakistan societies. He is also among the elite club of 500 ASHRAE FELLOWs and serves in the ASHRAE Board of Directors and Chairs the Middle East, South Asia & Africa Region.
The Head of Mechanical Engineering, Engr. Farhan A. Mehboob has 27 years of experience in the field and a M.Sc in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration from King’s College London, UK. He Chairs the Technology Transfer Committee of ASHRAE and serves on several ASHRAE Technical Committees.
The Electrical department is headed by Engr. Maroof A. Mehboob with 23 years of experience having completed his M.Sc in Mechatronics from King’s College London, UK. He is a member of IEEP.
SMC has completed a number of LEED certified projects and are fully familiar with LEED MEP Requirements.
We are also familiar with all UAE and Gulf States Authorities guidelines, having completed over 150 projects in the region.
